RS INDUSTRY deems of prime importance the protection of the environment and guaranteeing the health and safety of its workers, therefore over the years it has always strived to achieve the best results, implementing an action protocol that has become an Organizational System.
It acknowledges that the aims of the Environment Management System, Health and Safety in the workplace are of equal importance as those of productivity and profitability and that the responsibility for the attainment thereof belongs to the entire organizational structure;
It considers as a mandatory minimum requisite, conformity with the regulations in force and other documents signed by the company as regards dangers;
It undertakes to effectively implement all actions aimed at preventing pollution and reducing risks for health and safety as well as the prevention of all accidents in all work environments where activities are undertaken under its own control;
It undertakes to implement on-going improvements to products, processes, services and activities/conduct reducing as far as is possible, the impact on the environment/safety in the workplace and to prevent accidents/situations of emergency;
It undertakes to rationalize, as far as is possible, the consumption of energy and natural resources;
It adopts, for all its production sites, medium and long term programs necessary for the protection of the environment and for the reduction/control of risks for health and safety, which will be updated continuously in relation to technological development, new discoveries and experiences gained;
It ensures that the policy and the System for Environment Management /Health and Safety in the workplace are continuously subject to checks and revision in all their parts in order to achieve the set objectives and aims;
It develops, maintains and checks a documentary system including emergency procedures;
It promotes the growth of professionalism / skills and sensitivity towards the environment, health and safety in the workplace and that of the staff and the third parties with which it operates, through information and training;
It informs its suppliers and tender companies of its environmental policies and those concerning health and safety in the workplace, promoting close collaboration in order to obtain the best results in terms of environmental provisions;
It maintains and promotes constructive relations for communications with Local Communities and the Authorities in the various sectors relating to the environment / health and safety in the workplace.
